You earn points from virtually all Scandlines purchases – both while shopping in the Onboardshop, dining in the on-board café or restaurant, buying ferry tickets online, and when shopping in the Puttgarden or Rostock BorderShops. See exceptions below.

In order not to lose your points, you should activate your card within 4 weeks from the first time your card is used. Once you activate the card, you receive 500 points as a welcome gift.
Points are NOT earned from tobacco, magazines and newspapers, or Elsinore-Helsingborg tickets, pedestrian tickets, cyclist tickets, bus and truck tickets. Beers and soft drinks bought from the on-board BorderShop earn you 0.5 points. Tickets offered with a discount or any other form of rebate earn 0.6 points.
Points are not earned from purchases made with SMILE points.
Your points are worth money. This means that you may use them as full or partial payment while shopping in the Onboardshop, eating in the on-board café or restaurant, purchasing ferry tickets online, and when you shop in the Puttgarden or Rostock BorderShops. Remember to get your SMILE card scanned – or sign in to your SMILE profile when making online purchases.
We continuously release great membership offers for you while aboard. So, your points provide plenty of opportunities for treating yourself or others. Once you earn 3,000 points, you may start spending them on purchases.
Once you accumulate 5,000 points, you may upgrade from SMILE to SMILE for 12 months. That will give you even more to smile about: For example, you may buy special tickets online and earn double the points on purchases.
We automatically withdraw 5,000 points when you upgrade toSMILE. When, after 12 months, your SMILE membership expires, you can upgrade it again for 5,000 points.
To earn points on purchases, be sure to scan your SMILE card or sign in with your SMILE profile when ordering tickets online. We do not award points post-purchase.
If you buy one of our prepaid cards, be sure to scan your SMILE card or sign in with your SMILE profile if you purchase online. That way, you will earn points. If you already purchased a prepaid card, you may contact customer service to add the card to your SMILE account.
If you forgot to bring your SMILE card on the journey, you may transfer points from a temporary card.
You may not transfer points linked to another person's profile.
